Warts
Warts are non-cancerous skin growths caused by a viral infection in the top layer of the skin. They are commonly found around the nails, on the fingers or backs of the hands and on the bottom of feet . These types of warts are not easily caught from someone else. Genital warts, on the other hand, are more contagious and have been linked to cancer of the genital area.

The treatment for warts depends on the age of the patient and the type of wart present and may include the application of topical medications, freezing, electrotherapy, laser therapy, surgical removal, injection therapy or immunotherapy which attempts to build up the body’s own immune system. If you have a wart you’d like to get rid of, call us during our business hours to schedule an appointment.
